Here is my newly complete Tamiya 1/48 scale Challenger 2 (Desertised).

I published an in-box review here on Missing-Lynx when the kit was first released. You may see it here.

The model was built straight from the box.

I built the model soon after its release, put it back in the box and forgot all about it.

I was organising boxes in my storage shed a couple of months ago when I stumbled back upon the unpainted but otherwise complete model.

It seemed obvious that I should paint the model at the first opportunity. This was the first opportunity!

For a little variety, I used Star Decals' 1/48 scale Item No. 48-B 1019 Challenger 2 Op. Telic - Invasion and Occupation of Iraq in 2003 to 2011. They performed well.

I'll have written up a detailed article, plus a related Think Tank reference article, for Issue 234 of Model Military International magazine.
