Type 97 "Chi Ha"

Tamiya , 1/35 scale

by Carlos Alberto Ventura

Description

Here are some photos of my latest work, representing a Japanese medium tank TYPE 97 "CHI-HA" used before, during and after World War II.

The TYPE 97 was characterized its thin armor, a relatively small primary gun and an efficient motor. It was characterised by its low silhouette and its antenna around the cupola in the turret.

This is Tamiya’s 1/35 scale kit. Although it is now quite old, the injection moulded detail is still very good.

Even so, I added a lot of scratch built parts, including about one third of the engine!
