Dragon, 1/35 scale

Description

It wasn't too long ago at my local model club that l was actually trying to sell this kit without any takers.

At the end of the meeting the next comp theme was announced, Things that Float. Well what do you know, all these ideas went through my head and when l got home l started to build it, and this is the end result.

The kit is from Dragon and is quite a basic one to construct, it was all the extras on it that took a little longer. These were Figures from Warrior, Verlinden and Legends. Hornet Heads, Verlinden Backpacks and accessories, Eduard etch ammunition belts and a little scratch building to enhance some of the more basic details.

The boat was painted with Tamiya Acrylic paints through my trusty Aztek A470 and the figures were hand painted with a mixture of Tamiya, Vallejo and Citadel Paints.

Weathering was achieved using Diluted colours through the airbrush and Mig pigments.

l am very happy with the end result and hope you enjoy it as well.
