It's not often that I build and paint a model plus three figures in two days, but that is exactly what happened with this test shot of Tamiya's forthcoming 1/35 scale German Assault Pioneer Team & Goliath Set, Kit No. 35357.
The Goliath itself is very small but despite its diminutive size Tamiya has supplied link and length tracks plus a cable drum that can be displayed beneath an open hatch if you like.
I assembled the tracks into four sections, which permitted me to paint the tracks and main vehicle separately.
The Goliath was assembled in a couple of hours and it was painted using Mission Models' acrylic Dark Yellow applied with Meng's new airbrush, which I have been testing out too. Figures were mostly painted using Vallejo acrylics.
This was a fun little project. I'll be writing this one up for Issue 142 of Model Military International magazine.
Thanks to Tamiya Japan for the sample
Tamiya kits are distributed in the UK by The Hobby Company Limited for the sample.
