The M142 HIMARS has become emblematic of US military aid to Ukraine during its fight for freedom from Putin's imperial ambitions.

The US built HIMARS had seen action in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria before but in the Ukraine conflict it was and is seen as a game changer with its ability to strike command and control targets with complete accuracy over great distances.

The HIMARS can fire a range of payloads, including a pod of six rockets or a single ballistic missile. These loads come in a specific pod and can be changed in or out as a mission or in the Ukrainian case " permission " demanded.

Trumpeter produced a standard HIMARS kit that builds into a fine kit. However, it lacks the extra plating on all Ukrainian variants.

Having converted the Trumpeter kit into a Ukrainian variant, I can assure the readers that this is an extensive job. This is where the Foreart HIMARS kit comes in. Not only is it extremely and extensively detailed inside and out but it comes with the armour panels as optional and includes both the six rocket GMLRS pod and the single launch ATACMS missile. The modeller is also provided with examples of two GMLRS rockets and a single ATACMS missile.

A nice range of decals are provided, including a Ukrainian smiling set of teeth marking for the armoured cab.

In summary, the Foreart HIMARS kit is an incredible kit which is a must have for any fan of modern missile or rocket systems.
