ScaleX New Release RoundupScaleX, 1/35 scaleReviewed by Zack Sex F i r s t L o o k SclaeX is a new 3d print manufacturer that hales from Odessa in Ukraine. They have a wide range of World War Two era and post-war wheel sets that they produce along with a range of ground based drones that they are expanding. In the selection they sent us is included ones for the Kubelwagon (Meng) , Humvee (ICM or Academy), Himars (Foreart) Kozak (ICM), and UGV Liut ground based attack drone armed with a GPMG.
The level of detail on these wheel and Liut kits is really outstanding, right down to the subtle text of the tyres. It is also worth noting that the wheels are offered in two versions standard and sagged. In the opinion of the reviewer, the sagged tires and wheels are super realistic. We test fitted the sagged Humvee wheels to an ICM Humvee and found the fit without fault.
Next, we tried the Kubelwagon Type 82 sagged wheels on a Tamiya Kubelwagon, and there were no fit issues, and the effect on the extra realism of the model is quite clear.
The other important note about ScaleX 3d printed wheels and drones is that they are available in 1:35 and 1:72 scale. In terms of clean-up, these pieces pop off their print frames with total ease and require little to no clean-up, a major advantage over traditional resin moulded parts.
In summary, ScaleX is a welcome addition to the modelling scene with a top-notch range of products, we certainly look forward to their future offering. You may contact ScaleX directly at www.ScaleX.art and check out their large range and expanding range of update wheels and even some smashing looking ERA blocks. Highly Recommended Zack Sex Thanks to ScaleX for the samples www.ScaleX.art
