Last Christmas I went down to the Mariners Museum in Newport News, VA and once again marveled at the Crabtree collection. Amazing as it was the tools he made in order to build such fantastic ship models were their equal, especially the micro chisels he used for detailing.

Thanks to this new product from UMM-USA, you can now replicate the level of detail that August Crabtree could do.

These chisels are one side beveled and incredibly sharp – I managed to stick myself trying to get the tip cover back on one of them. The pen-sized holder makes it easy to use and control them as well as give some heft when pushing hard on an object.

Once again UMM-USA has a great series of products for modelers !
