Here is another addition to Italeri's range of 1/35 scale LVTs. Like the others, it certainly does not disappoint.

Inside the box are three large sprues with approx 170 parts in light grey plastic, four sections of track and a set of decals offering a choice of two vehicles. Both are USMC - one for Iwo Jima, the other Saipan.

Detail looks to be very well done and construction not overly complicated.

The instructions are clear, but the builder will have to take care when drilling out the holes in stage 7. Care will also be needed when putting the tracks together as each side comes in two halves and they require to be melted together, as l am yet to find a glue that will hold these together.

There are some sink marks to fill but nothing too dramatic.

The weapons in this kit are nicely done with both the .50 cal and the .30 cal. l was pleased that two .30s are included but only one is needed -nice to have in the spares box.

As with all Italeri armor, l think this is a really nice kit, built either out of the box or if desired with all that resin and etched metal.

Highly Recommended.

Thanks to Italeri for the sample
