We are saddened to report the passing of Laurie Wright, a pioneer in the field of military vehicle research, and Mick Bell, another military research stalwart and modeller.  Paul Handel has written a brief tribute to Laurie and Mick.

With Anzac Day 2008 upon us, and with two excellent new Staghound kits in 1/35 scale, Paul Handel's timing is perfect for his new Anzac Steel article on the Staghound Armoured Car in Australian Service.

Dr Hilton de Mello e Oliveira presents his diorama of Italeri's 1/35 scale Quad tractor, captured and converted to an anti-aircraft vehicle for the Afrika Corps. Six images are included.

I was lucky enough to visit the IPMS USA Nationals last week. Over on HyperScale, Tony Bell has posted more than 300 photos of models in competition at the Nats, including some terrific armour and figure entries:

Their debut offering will be an original 1/16 scale figure by John Rosengrant of a WWII Marine in the Pacific on the corner of an M4A2 Sherman. We will provide more details in the coming weeks.

I apologise for the time since our last Missing-Lynx update. My PC's hard disk went faulty last weekend, and most of the time between then and now has been spent getting the machine repaired then restoring all the files and programs. We are back to normal updates now.
